Backstage Fashion (the real deal)

A few years ago I published a post about backstage fashion. It was about my friends and me dressing up and pretending to be models getting ready for a catwalk. Well, that became a reality for me last week.

My older sister, Ally (who is going into fashion design), had her senior and mini collections in her college fashion show, so the fam drove down to see the show and her, of course. Ally wanted me to do some of her models’ hair and help her out backstage with fast changes and other errands like getting food for people. I didn’t get to model, though I could have, but I still felt important. My visit was made even better by being mistaken for a college student by everyone. Ally got a little peeved when people thought I was older than she. Ally got five awards and to celebrate we went out to Applebee’s with some of her friends. After that we went to a college party that lasted until 4am. College parties are awesome — just saying. At this one, Ironman was playing on a huge screen, bouncy houses and obstacle courses were up, and other random activities like tie-dye were going on. Pretty cool.
